My Trip–The Recap
April 10th, 2008I came back from my trip on Monday. I already put most of my pictures online already. Instead of writing a long post for each day I’m going to write a few paragraphs for each day and then follow them up with a few pictures from each day.
Arrival in London (The night before the trip) — March 14
I arrived in London around 5:00 and checked into my hotel. At 6:00 I had a meeting in the Contiki basement where I found out that most of the people on my trip were from Australia. I met three Australian girls that I later had dinner with name Catherine, Alana, and Yean. After dinner I went to a pub that was near the hotel.
That was where I met two people from my tour named Kevin and Beth. We talked about anything and everything at the pub. I found out that the other Kevin had a birthday during the trip, just like me. The funny thing is that he was turning 34 at the end of the tour and I was going to turn 21 at the end of the tour as well. He was turning 34 the day after me. His girlfriend Beth was beginning to think it was weird because we were both so similar. We ended our night at 10:00 because we had to be ready to leave by 6:30. I talked to Kristen for about a half hour before bed.
Day 1 (The official start of the tour) London to Paris — March 15
I woke up really early and we were on the road by 7:00. Our first stop was in Dover to catch a ferry to France. The white cliffs of Dover were pretty cool, but kind of underwhelming. I thought they would be more extravagent than they were. On the ferry ride I had lunch with two people named Sun ho and Sun hee. They are brother and sister from New Zealand. We arrived in Calais, France and started the rest of our journey. Along the way I found out that I wouldn’t have a roommate because he never showed up to the bus. We arrived in Paris around 6:00 and had a driving tour. It was the first time I saw the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and the Champs Elysees. Dinner was at 7:00. I met a few people and one of them was named Jill from Texas. She was the only other American on the tour. After dinner a few of us decided to go to the Eiffel Tower.
It was raining when we got to the Eiffel Tower so the line wasn’t very long at all. We got to the top and I called Kristen from the top. We took some pictures from the top and we were able to see the strobe lights go off at 10:00. The strobe lights go off every hour. We wanted to take pictures of the tower going off, so we made sure we were on the ground at 11:00 to take some pictures. We got on the metro and headed back to the hotel. I went to sleep around midnight after talking to Kristen.
Day 2: Full Day in Paris — March 16
Woke up at 8:30 and had breakfast. Then I headed to the Louvre with Kevin and Beth. There we saw the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and everything in between. I must say that it was probably the largest museum I have ever been to (by this point at least). The Mona Lisa was, at least I thought, very underwhelming. I was expecting something larger, but it was still fairly cool. After the Louvre we headed to the Notre Dame and walked around while the Palm Sunday Mass was going on. It was a little weird that we could walk around during mass, but I took a few photos inside and outside. After the Notre Dame I had a Nutella crepe and then we headed to the Arc de Triomphe.
We got on the metro and got off at the Champs Elysees (the main shopping street) and started to walk up to the Arc. I took a few pictures and even walked into the Louis Vitton store to look at overpriced purses. The cheapest thing I saw in there was 75 euro. We got to the Arc de Triomphe and I took some pictures of it and the tomb of the unknown soldier which is housed there. At this point I split up from Kevin and Beth because they were heading back to the hotel. I walked back over to the Eiffel Tower to take some pictures during the daylight and then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Moulin Rouge.
When I got back to the hotel I got some news. The person that I was supposed to room with finally showed up. His name was Ned and he was from Australia. We talked for a few minutes before heading to the Moulin Rouge. The Moulin Rouge was a very good show, even though I had no idea what was going on. I sat with a Canadian couple named Tyler and Mel. The show was basically a circus show, but it dancing and singing. They had little horses that came out on stage. A lady swam with some snakes, and there was a ventriliquist who worked with a dog. You barely even noticed that the girls were topless, it was that good. We were sitting very close as well. During the dinner, our wine sat on stage and we were warned not to touch the girls. I even got hit in the face with the costumes. It was a very interesting show.
Day 3: Paris to Lucerne — March 17
Today was the first major travel day. We left at9:00 for Lucerne. During the first stop a few Australians were asking me about snow because they hadn’t ever seen it before. It was pretty amusing. We arrived in Switzerland around 5:00 and dinner was at 7:00. After dinner I had a drink with a few pepole and then we headed to a bar for St. Patricks Day. When ordering a beer you just asked for a large beer because they only had one on tap. Tonight was game night between me and Kevin. There was Kevin vs Kevin foosball and I won. Then we played darts, but he won. I went to bed at 1:30 am after talking to Kristen.
Day 4: Full Day in Lucerne — March 18
Today was our full day in Lucerne and we woke up at 8:00 for breakfast. They took us into the city and we learned about cookoo clocks and swiss army knives. After that it was free time and I spent most of it taking pictures. Lucerne is a beautiful city that has a huge lake and an old bridge named the Chapel Bridge. I took pictures of that and also stopped at the post office to send a postcard to Kristen. At 1:00 we all met up for a little excursion out of the city. We headed to a mountain named Mt. Titlis.
It was really cloudy and rainy at the bottom of the mountain, but we started our way up. We had to take a ski lift at the beginning and then move to gondolas to reach the top. Right before we got to the gondola we could see the top of the clouds, which was very exciting. After about 45 minutes of trying to get to the top we finally made it. The top of the mountain is between 8000 and 10000 ft high. and it was very cool being above the clouds. I took some breathtaking photos that you should all look at. It was absolutely amazing. One of the coolest things I have ever seen.
The funny thing is that nobody really noticed how thin the air was at the top of the mountain. I was walking up some stairs and I got light headed. I just assumed it was because I didn’t eat lunch, but it was affecting other people too. I was pretty much out of breath the entire time I was at the top of the mountain.
When I got back to the hotel I talked to Kristen for a little while and after Dinner I had a drink with a few people. Then a huge group of us formed and we started to talk. I would say out of the 50 people on the tour there were about 40 of us talking. We learned a lot about each other that night, it was a lot of fun. I talked to Kristen again before going to bed.
Day 5: Lucern to Lyon — March 19
Today we stopped in Lucerne to see one more thing before heading towards Lyon. We also stopped in Geneva for lunch and I had McDonalds, but it was a $13 meal. It was really expensive in Geneva. The weird thing was that people were allowed to bring in their dogs, so I ate lunch next to a dog. We made it to Lyon around 5:00. Lyon is supposed to be one of the best places to get food in all of France, so we were there for a good meal.
The unfortunate thing is that dinners don’t really start until after 7:00, so we had some time to kill. I was with two Australians and we walked around a few shops. I bought a bottle of wine to bring home with me and the brother and sister (Adrian and Kirsteen) were just doing some window shopping. Before dinner we all met up at an Irish pub before heading to dinner.
Dinner was interesting. There were about 10 of us at dinner and the place was empty when we first got there and then it exploded. For dinner I had escargot and frog legs. The escargot was good, but it had a weird texture so I could have lived without them. The frog legs were actually very good. They tasted like chicken wings, but you needed a lot of them to fill you up. We ended our dinner with dessert and a shot. It was a lot of fun.
Day 6: Lyon to Barcelona — March 20
Today was one of the longest driving days that we would have and I woke up at 6:00 to be ready for it. We stopped three times on our way to Barcelona and one of them was at the Pont du Guard, which is an ancient Roman aquaduct. I got a few pictures of that before heading back to the bus.
We arrived in Barcelona around 5:00, but dinner didn’t start until 7:00. We went to a grocery store across the street and found some very cheap alcohol for later that night. I bought a bottle of Sangria for 99 cents, which was pretty good. Dinner was absolutely horrible. We had no idea what kind of meat we were served, but it was awful. After dinner we started drinking and having fun. We started in a hotel room and then moved out into the courtyard. We weren’t supposed to be drinking, but we weren’t causing any trouble so they allowed us. That is until someone called the cops. I was already inside when the cops came, but they just let everyone off with a warning. After that everyone came inside and either went to bed or drank some more. I talked to Kristen before going to bed.
Day 7: Full day in Barcelona — March 21
Breakfast this morning was much better than dinner the night before. After breakfast we headed into the city and stopped at the Sagrada Familia, which is an unfinished cathedral in Barcelona. It probably won’t be finished until 2050. It was pretty interesting. Then we headed to the main street in the city “La Rambla.” Unfortunately it was Good Friday so nothing was open and everybody was out. All I did this day was walk around La Rambla. I did see the Good Friday procession that was going on in the city, twice. That was pretty cool.
For dinner we went to a Flamenco Dancing show. It was very interesting. The dancers danced with such passion. I took a few photos. After dinner I headed back to the hotel instead of going out. I called Kristen and told her that I was getting sick. I wasn’t feeling very well and was coming down with what they call the “Contiki Cough.” Almost everyone gets sick because we are living on a bus for such a long time. I was in bed by 10:00 that night.
Day 8: Barcelona to Nice — March 22
We left early again because we had another long drive ahead of us. The most interesting stop today was in Arles, which is a city in France that looks more like a city in Spain. They have a huge festival for Easter and we arrived right in the middle of it. There was a really cool bull fighting stadium which was built back in Ancient Rome. There were actually bull fights for the festival as well, but they were all later during the day. Arles was actually the city in which Van Gogh cut off his ear and mailed it to a prostitute. It was an interesting way to spend a few hours.
We arrived in Nice around 5:30 and saw the beach. Dinner was at 7:00 and after dinner we went out for a few drinks. I came back to talk to Kristen before going to bed.
Day 9: Nice (Easter Sunday) — March 23
I spent my Easter in Nice, which is a beautiful city along the Mediterranean Sea. I woke up at a decent time, had breakfast, and went for a walk down the beach. The beach in Nice is a rocky beach and not a sandy beach, so that was interesting. After a little while of walking around I found Internet access. I spent 45 minutes fighting with the French keyboard to send a few emails. After that I walked around the beach and climbed a hill, where I took a lot of pictures of the beach and the port which was on the other side of the hill.
At 4:30 we left Nice to go to a French Perfumery. It was alright, but a little strong on the nose. I didn’t buy anything there, but afterward we headed to Monaco. I saw the church where Grace Kelly was married and after that we went to dinner. Dinner was good and afterward we went to the Monte Carlo Casino. I lost 15 Euro on the slots, but it was a fun time. I came back and talked to Kristen before going to bed.
Day 10: Nice to Florence — March 24
We left early to get to Florence and along the way we stopped in Pisa to see the leaning tower. It was a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be, but impressive nonetheless. I took the picture that everyone takes there; me holding the tower up. I had my first geloti in Pisa as well. We arrived in Florence around 5:30, but dinner wasn’t until 7:00 so I talked to Kristen for awhile.
Dinner was at a restaurant that is run by monks. It was alright. Something embarassing happened at the end, but I won’t divulge it online so you will have to ask me personally. After dinner we went to the Space Electronic Disco in Florence and that was a lot of fun. I left around 1:30 AM, came back, called Kristen, and went to bed.
Day 11: Florence and Rome — March 25
We woke up and had breakfast in the morning. Then we went to get a group photo taken in front of a church in Florence. After that we went to a leather shop to learn how to tell the difference between real leather and fake leather. That was very interesting. After all of that we had a walking tour of Florence, where we learned about the city and saw some famous statues. I didn’t actually see the statue of David because the lines were too long and I didn’t have enough time, but I saw an exact replica in the same place where the original stood. We left Florence at 1:30 to head to Rome.
It took four hours to get to Rome, but when we got there we went on a walking tour. We saw the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. The Pantheon was closed, so I wasn’t able to go in. After the mini walking tour we had dinner and finally arrived at the hotel around 10:00. It was the first time I saw the hotel all day. I talked to Kristen and headed to bed.
Day 12: Rome — March 26
I woke up at 5:45 because I knew I was going to have a busy day ahead of me. After breakfast we all hopped on a bus and then moved to the metro to get to the Vatican Museum. After 15 minutes of waiting I was finally able to get in. I got the student discount but when I went to pay I was told I had a counterfeit twenty in my possession. Luckily I had another twenty to pay him. We literally ran through the Vatican Museum because we all had to get our tickets to see the Pope by 10:30, but I did get to spend about 15 minutes admiring the Sistine Chapel. I thought it would be bigger than it was, but it was still incredibly impressive.
After the Vatican Museum we met up with our tour manager, Dangerous, and he gave us the tickets to see the Pope, but they weren’t even checking tickets anyway. A little bit before 10:30 we saw a helicopter (which is the Pope’s helicopter because the Vatican is restricted airspace) and then a little while later the Pope showed up in his Popemobile. I wasn’t too close, but I did see him. I got some rosary beeds blessed by him (every religious artifact was blessed). It was really cool to see him speak. After the Pope’s blessing I went to a walking tour.
The walking tour consisted of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. It was really cool to see all of roman ruins. It was also culture week in Italy so everything had free entrance. After the walking tour I walked around the Colosseum with Kevin and Beth for awhile and took a lot of pictures. After the Colosseum I wanted to see more of the Vatican, so I left with Alana, Catherine, and Yean to go to St. Peter’s Basilica which is the largest church in the world. Before going to the church we went inside the Pantheon and took pictures. After getting to St. Peters square we took some pictures. Before going into the church, I went into the crypt and saw the tombs of all of the old popes including John Paul II. It was nice to pay my respects to the old pope. The church was very impressive. I didn’t even realize that mass was going on until I walked to the other end of the church. I spent 45 minutes in there taking pictures. We left at 5:45 to go back to the hotel by 7:00. We got lost along the way and didn’t come back to the hotel until 7:45, but we were still able to get our dinner for free. After dinner I came back and talked to Kristen and told my mom what I saw. She seemed thrilled. I went to bed early because I had a long day.
Day 13: Rome to Venice — March 27
We left early again for another long drive, this time to Venice. We had an interesting stop in yet another country, San Marino. This country is basically a city at the top of a mountain. I had lunch and walked around. If it wasn’t foggy then I think it would have been a better place to visit. After taking photos, we left for the rest of our trip. We arrived in Venice at 7:00 and had dinner at 7:30. After dinner we all played cards. I was apart of a huge UNO game and it might have been one of the roudiest games of UNO I’ve ever played. It was a good time. I talked to Kristen before going to bed.
Day 14: Venice — March 28
Today was our full day in Venice. We left after breakfast and drove about a half hour to get to a boat which then took us to Venice. When we got to Venice we went to a Venetian Glass shop and a Venetian Lace shop for demonstrations. The glass blowing demonstration was pretty cool. They made a vase and a glass horse. After the demonstrations I went with Ned and Adrian for lunch. We went walking after lunch and I found a shop that sold cheap wine so I bought a bottle and had it opened for our gondola ride.
The gondola ride was a lot of fun. I was with Alana, Yean, Catherine, Sarah, and Jess. Our gondola driver was a bit of a jerk, but it was still a lot of fun. After the gondola ride and taking a few photos, Adrian and I went to find a building that was in Indiana Jones. It took us awhile to find it, but we did find it. It was a museum that cost money so we didn’t go in, but we took pictures from the outside. We then headed to a bar to meet the rest of the group at a bar. We got lost along the way, but it’s alright because Venice is a nice city to get lost in. After a few drinks at the bar we headed back to the hotel for dinner. I finished my wine and then headed to bed.
Day 15: Venice to Vienna — March 29
We woke up early again to go to Vienna. Along the way we had another stop and they surprised us by taking us to yet another country. This time it was Slovenia. They took us to Lake Bled, which is a huge glacier lake with an island in the middle. I went to the island in the middle and took a lot of pictures. It was a lot of fun. We arrived in Vienna around 5:00. I had to supply dinner on my own so I walked around with a few people and went to a steakhouse. I had an expensive burger, but it was good. The hotel in Vienna had free Internet so I was able to catch up with my email and talk to a few people. I talked to Kristen before going to bed.
Day 16: Vienna — March 30
We woke up early and had breakfast before heading into the city. We had a bus and walking tour. After the tour Tyler, Mel, Adrian, Kirsteen, Ned, Tihan, Kerris, and I went to the royal treasury where I saw what belongs to the old Hapsburg Empire. They had a piece of the real cross, the cloak that Jesus wiped his face on, a nail from the cross, and a thorn from his crown. It was pretty cool being able to see those things. After the treasury I didn’t want to do too much so I went to a park while everyone was eating lunch there and then headed to the pick up location. The Schnaps museum was next.
The Schnaps museum was pretty cool. The old guy who runs it is a riot and I was able to taste three different kinds of Schnaps. I had a gold Schnaps, a banana liquer, and a strawberry vanilla liquer. The old guy had shown us a bottle of sparkling wine which was named Rene Pogel (”Leg Opener” spelled backwards). It was fairly amusing. For dinner that night I had McDonalds. After dinner I talked to Kristen and caught up with my postcards before going to bed.
Day 17: Vienna to Munich–March 31
The drive was a normal one. We had two stops. The first stop was a somber experience because it was at the Mauthausen Concentration Camp in Austria. It was the last concentration camp to be liberated after WWII. We saw the furnace where they killed between 120,000 and 300,000 people. It was interesting, yet very depressing. We didn’t stay there long, and we made it to Munich around 5:00.
That’s when we were in the area around Munich. We got stuck in traffic so we didn’t wind up getting to the hotel until 7:00. At 7:30 we left to go to a famous beer hall named the Hofbrau House. It was a lot of fun. I met two Americans who were visiting Germany. The beers were huge too. They were each one liter. I had three beers and some sausage to eat for dinner. It was a lot of fun. After coming back to the Hotel I talked to Kristen and then went to bed.
Day 18: Munich to Prague–April 1st
Since we didn’t get to see the city the previous night, we had some free time in Munich. I went to a church that looked like salt and pepper shakers and then watched the Glockenspiel go off at 11:00. It’s a famous clock that goes off every hour. It was interesting to watch, but only once. It takes about 15 minutes to go through and it doesn’t hold the attention for that long. The rest of the trip was uneventful except for a stop we made in the Czech Republic.
I couldn’t even tell you in what town we stopped in. We weren’t supposed to stop there. We were supposed to stop in Germany, but the rest stop was closed. The city reminded me of the town that the characters of Eurotrip were taken to in the movie. I didn’t take any pictures because it was nothing special. Just a town that looked like it never came out of the Russian 1950’s. It was entertaining. We hopped back on the bus after an hour in the weird town.
We finally made it into Prague and had dinner. After that I talked to Kristen for a few minutes before going out. Dangerous took us to a bar named the Beer Factory. They had taps at each table and we could pour our own beers. It was pretty cool because there were screens on the wall that showed which table was drinking the most beer. It was almost as if it was a competition. I came home rather early and talked to Kristen before going to bed.
Day 19: Prauge–April 2
This was the full day in Prague and we had nothing planned so we could get up at any time. I woke up at 9:30 and had breakfast and headed out to look at the city. I went to the old town square with Stefan and Emma and took some pictures of the Astronomical clock. Everyone else went on the lunchtime cruise while I wandered around by myself.
I first went up to the Prague Castle, which was basically an entire city that was fortified with walls. I saw the changing of the guards and then went inside a church that had some amazing stained glass windows. After going through the church I heard a commotion and went to see what it was. There was a battalion of the army and they were putting on a marching demonstration. I watched it for about 15 minutes before heading back to the city. When I got back to the city I went to the Jewish Quarter, which is one of the most famous in the world. I saw a memorial that contained names of Jews that were killed in WWII. I also walked through the crowded cemetery where they had to bury people in layers and they are buried 12 layers deep. It was interesting to see all of the tombstones in such a small area. After the Jewish Quarter I walked around for a little while, got something to eat and went back to the hotel to take a nap.
After my nap I talked to Kristen for a little while before heading out. The group went to three bars, but I only went to two. The first one was cool because they had swings instead of stools. They also had two very tiny monkeys. The second bar we went to was a biker bar. After the second one I came back and talked to Kristen before going to bed. I went to bed around midnight and then was woken up when the other Kevin ran into my room at 1:00. It was kind of entertaining. I fell back asleep shortly after that.
Day 20: Prague to Berlin–April 3
We left later than any other travel day and that was at 9:30. ON our way to Berlin we stopped in Dresden for a little while. You could barely tell that the city was completely destroyed in WWII. We arrived in Berlin around 5:00 and had dinner at 5:30. After dinner we ventured into the city.
First a bunch of us went to an Egyptian museum. It was kind of cool because it was both Greek and Egyptian, but the Egyptian part was much cooler. Afterward we went to McDonalds to get some change. A couple of the guys ordered a cheesebuger and a beer. That’s right, they ordered a beer in McDonalds. It was interesting to see them drinking beer out of a paper McDonalds cup. After we came back a few people went next door to have a few drinks. I stayed back and talked to Kristen before going to bed. I was woken up again at both 2:00 and 3:00 by two people. After 3:00 I was able to sleep soundly without interruption.
Day 21: Berlin–April 4
Today was the full day in Berlin and we woke up early and had breakfast. After that we got on the coach to go to the city, but the coach wouldn’t start so we had to that the tram into the city. When we got to the city there was a tour guide waiting to give us our Berlin walking tour. It was interesting to see the sites of WWII even though they were all destroyed. I saw part of the Berlin Wall and where Hitler’s bunker used to be (It is an apartment complex now). We ended the tour at Checkpoint Charlie and I went inside the museum there. It was kind of interesting to see the stories of escapes over the Berlin Wall. I was expecting more information about the tank standoff at the checkpoint. After the museum I was on my own.
I went to the post office to send Kristen some post cards before heading over to the Holocaust memorial. I went down underneath the memorial to a free museum where they told the stories of Jews during WWII. They told the stories of many people in different concentration camps. It was kind of interesting. After the museum I headed back to the hotel. For dinner we went out to a fancier place (at least fancier than the hotel). Afterward we had a nightlife tour of the city which included 3 bars and a night club. I only went to the first two bars and went to the bathroom in the 3rd bar before heading back to the hotel with Tihan. That night I was also woken up again but this was the last time.
Day 22: Berlin to Amsterdam–April 5th
We woke up early again to travel and it was an uneventful day of driving. We got to Amsterdam a little bit before dinner and I talked to Kristen before heading out to the red light district. We had a few drinks in the red light district. It was really interesting to go “window shopping”. The prostitution in Amsterdam is more of a tourist attraction than anything. There are tours of the red light district at night and a lot of older people are there to wander around. I talked to Kristen again before going to bed.
Day 23: Amsterdam–April 6
My 21st birthday started out at 8:00 with breakfast and then we headed to the Anne Frank house. Along the way they played birthday music for me, the other Kevin (His birthday is on the 7th), and another guy named Tyler (his birthday is on the 8th). Anne Frank’s house was interesting. It was actually an old business where her and her family stayed during WWII. There were quotes from her diary all over the place. I learned a lot about her, seeing how I never read her diary. It was amazing to learn how grown up she wrote for only being twelve years old when she started to write in her diary.
After Anne Frank’s house I went with Adrian, Tyler, and Mel to McDonalds and the Sex Museum. The sex museum was… interesting. It was full of cheesy mannequins and there was an entire exhibit on Marylin Monroe. After the museum we just walked around and I bought a postcard. I met up with everyone else for the final night dinner and cruise at 3:00.
We left for the dinner at 4:30 and stopped at a cheese and clog shop. They showed us how they make the cheese and the clogs. They also let us taste the cheese. It was pretty interesting. After the stop we headed to dinner.
This was the final dinner of the tour and I sat with Adrian, Kirsteen, Beth, Kevin, Ned, Sean, and Larissa. It was a lot of fun. They gave us a welcome shot and we toasted for my birthday. For dinner I had steak which I was craving at the time. It was delicious. After dinner we stopped at a windmill for a photo opportunity and then headed to the canal cruise.
The canal cruise was just a huge party in the cruise. It was a booze cruise so all of the alcohol was free. It was a lot of fun and a great way to spend your 21st. I tried to get a picture with everyone who was there. After the cruise we went to a bar for some cheap drinks. At midnight I took a shot with the other Kevin, since his birthday was starting and mine was ending. When I got back I called Kristen and went to bed.
Day 24: Amsterdam to London–April 7
This was the last day and it was a traveling day. We started out early from Amsterdam to go to London. We had a stop in Belgium on our way to Calais, France. We got to Calais around 1:00 and started to go through customs. The other Kevin had a little problem going through customs and they wanted to question him, but luckily they got it figured out and they were able to get onto the ferry with us. We had to wait an hour and a half for the ferry to get there. While killing the time I napped and listened to some comedy.
We started to get close to London around 5:00 and Dangerous read a poem to us that was about the trip. He played songs that were all about the previous 24 days. It was a lot of fun, but it started to get emotional. I tried not to make it emotional. When we got back to the Royal National I knew I couldn’t stay and have a few drinks because I needed to get back to Leeds. I said goodbye to everyone that I saw and thanked them for making it an awesome trip and I was able to make it on the train at a decent time. I made it back to Leeds and talked to Kristen and started to go through my camera and souvenirs before going to bed.
The tour was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have spent it with a better group.
